All You Need to Know About the Venues Hosting Ghana’s World Cup Matches

The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn into Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside England, Croatia and Panama following the official draw held on Friday, December 5, 2025.
The draw ceremony took place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., officially outlining Ghana’s path at the expanded 48-team tournament.
Ghana, currently ranked 72nd in the FIFA world rankings, will open their group-stage campaign against Panama, who are ranked 30th globally. The Black Stars will then face two European heavyweights in England and Croatia, ranked fourth and 10th respectively.
According to the official match schedule released by FIFA on Saturday, December 6, 2025, Ghana will play their opening group match in Canada, before moving to the United States East Coast for their remaining two fixtures.
Ghana’s first Group L match is scheduled for June 17, 2026, and will be played at BMO Field in Toronto, marking the Black Stars’ only group-stage appearance in Canada.
The second group fixture, a highly anticipated clash against England, will be staged at the Boston Stadium in the United States. Ghana will then conclude their group campaign against Croatia at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, also in the USA.
With matches spread across Canada and the United States, Ghanaian supporters are expected to travel in large numbers to rally behind the Black Stars as they seek progression from Group L.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19, jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States, and will be the first edition of the tournament to feature 48 teams.
