Ghana Launches King’s Baton Relay in Spectacular Fashion Ahead of 2026 Commonwealth Games

Ghana has launched its segment of the 2025 King’s Baton Relay with great fanfare, marking the country’s active participation in the lead-up to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The event, organized by Commonwealth Sports Ghana in partnership with the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), drew high-profile personalities, sports icons, and prominent business figures.

The relay was officially inaugurated at Jubilee House by Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, alongside GOC President Richard Akpokavie and the British High Commissioner, who unveiled the baton before it began its journey through the main streets of Accra.
