Barcelona eliminated from Champions League ahead of 3-0 loss to Bayern

Bayern Munich maintained their perfect record in Group C with a commanding 3-0 win over Barcelona, securing top spot in the group. The German giants were already assured of progressing, while Xavi’s side had been eliminated from the Champions League before kick-off, making it a night to forget for the Spanish champions.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring after just ten minutes, timing his run perfectly to finish past Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Serge Gnabry’s through ball. Bayern controlled the game from that point, with Barcelona struggling to create meaningful chances. Eric Choupo-Moting doubled the lead in the 31st minute, slotting home from Gnabry’s pass.
Barcelona registered their first shot of the match only in the 39th minute, with Robert Lewandowski seeing a penalty overturned by VAR. Bayern continued to threaten after the break, with Gnabry’s curling strike ruled offside, before Benjamin Pavard sealed the 3-0 win in stoppage time.
Xavi’s side failed to register a single shot on target, with their only attempts from Sergio Busquets and Ansu Fati sailing wide, leaving them powerless against a ruthless Bayern performance.
