Pogba Discloses Home Burglary While Champions League Match Was Underway

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba revealed that his home was burgled while he was on the pitch for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Red Devils.
The French international came on in the 67th minute, only to later learn that intruders had broken into his house while his young children, aged one and three, were sleeping. Pogba described the ordeal as “our family’s worst nightmare,” adding, “As a father there is no feeling worse in this world than not being able to protect your children.”
Pogba’s wife and he rushed home after hearing the news, uncertain about their children’s safety. The family’s nanny was present during the break-in. Pogba has since offered a reward for any information leading to the culprits.
The 29-year-old, who rejoined United in 2016 from Juventus for a then-world record £89 million, has a contract with the club expiring this summer.
This is not an isolated case among Premier League stars. Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo was injured during a Christmas break-in, and the wife of Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof reported a home intrusion while he played against Brentford in January.
Manchester United confirmed they are working with all players to review and strengthen home security measures.
