Medeama secure victory in Nigeria over Remo Stars in CAF Champions League qualifier.

Ghanaian champions Medeama SC have advanced to the next round of the CAF Champions League following a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Nigeria’s Remo Stars on Sunday.
The Yellow and Mauves entered the match with a slim 1-0 advantage from the first leg and spent much of the game fending off pressure from the home side at Remo Stars Stadium. However, their lead was erased in the 73rd minute when an unfortunate own goal leveled the aggregate score, intensifying the tension for players and fans alike.
With neither side able to find a winner in regulation time, the tie went to a penalty shootout. Medeama held their nerve, converting three of their five kicks, while Remo Stars missed three, giving the Ghanaian champions a 3-2 shootout triumph.
The victory secures Medeama a spot in the next stage of the competition, where they will face Guinean giants Horoya AC in a crucial tie with a place in the CAF Champions League group stage on the line. The Ghanaian side will need to maintain their composure and deliver another strong performance to continue their historic campaign.
