Mbappé nets first Champions League goal for Real Madrid in Stuttgart triumph

Kylian Mbappé marked his debut in the UEFA Champions League for Real Madrid by scoring his first goal for the club in a thrilling 3-1 win over Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabéu. The French forward opened the scoring just 20 seconds into the second half, capitalizing on a perfectly timed pass from Aurelien Tchouameni, which found Rodrygo on the right. The Brazilian’s smart square ball allowed Mbappé to slot home, giving the defending champions an early advantage.
Stuttgart responded in the 68th minute when former Brighton striker Deniz Undav rose to head in a well-earned equalizer, adding tension to the match. Real Madrid regained control in the 83rd minute through Antonio Rüdiger’s decisive header, before substitute Endrick sealed the win with a goal in stoppage time.
Jude Bellingham returned from injury to play 80 minutes, providing composure in midfield after missing the previous four games with a calf problem. Despite Stuttgart creating multiple chances, Enzo Millot narrowly missing a one-on-one in the 10th minute and Angelo Stiller’s effort saved by Thibaut Courtois, they were unable to capitalize. Undav came close again when a long-range attempt clipped Dani Carvajal’s leg and hit the crossbar, while Vinicius Jr’s thunderous strike also rattled the crossbar in the 58th minute.
With this victory, Real Madrid maintain their strong start in the Champions League as they prepare to travel to Lille in their next group-stage fixture, while Stuttgart will aim to recover when they host Sparta Prague.
