How Fans Can Secure Tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

FIFA has opened the Random Selection Draw, the lottery-style third sales phase for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, allowing fans to apply for single-match tickets for specific fixtures.
The application window opened on 11 December 2025 and will close on 13 January 2026.
Random Selection Draw: How It Works
To participate, fans must register or log in with a FIFA ID via FIFA.com/tickets and complete their fan profile. Supporters who do not already have a FIFA ID are required to create one before gaining access to the ticketing platform.
During the entry window, applicants can select the match or matches they wish to attend, choose the number of tickets required and indicate their preferred seating category.
It is important to note that the Random Selection Draw is an application process, not a guaranteed purchase. Submitting an application does not automatically secure a ticket.
Once the draw is completed, successful applicants will be notified by email. If selected, payment will be processed automatically by the deadline set by FIFA, after which the applicant will be allocated the right to purchase tickets at face value.
Practical Advice for Ghanaian Supporters
Ghanaian fans are encouraged to prioritise the match they most want to attend, while applying for multiple fixtures where permitted. Supporters should also ensure that their chosen payment method remains valid and funded, as unsuccessful payment could result in forfeiting the allocation.
Fans are further advised to make contingency travel plans, as securing a match ticket is only one part of the journey. Visas, flights and accommodation are handled separately and may significantly increase the overall cost of attending the tournament.
PMA Supporter Ticket Option
Another avenue available to fans is the Participating Member Association (PMA) Supporter sales phase. A PMA Supporter is a fan who meets eligibility requirements set by their national football association and applies for tickets allocated specifically to that association.
The PMA Supporter sales phase also opened on 11 December 2025 and will close on 13 January 2026. Applications are made through FIFA.com/tickets, in line with guidelines established by each PMA.
According to 3Sports, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is currently working through the process required to secure ticket allocations for Ghanaian supporters.
Last-Minute Sales Phase
FIFA has also confirmed that a last-minute sales phase will be introduced closer to the tournament. Any remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, although prices during this phase are expected to be significantly higher due to limited availability.
Ticket Price Ranges for Ghana’s Group Matches
Based on face-value pricing released for the Random Selection Draw phase, ticket categories for Ghana’s three group-stage matches vary depending on the fixture and venue.
Official Match Ticket Price Ranges (Face Value):
| Match | Venue | Cheapest Ticket | Highest Regular Ticket |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ghana vs Panama | Toronto, Canada | ~$140 | ~$450 |
| Ghana vs England | Boston, USA | ~$220 | ~$600 |
| Ghana vs Croatia | Philadelphia, USA | ~$180 | ~$500 |
The pricing bands reflect differences in opponent profile, stadium capacity and anticipated demand from both local and travelling supporters. Unsurprisingly, Ghana’s clash with England carries the highest top-end ticket price, while the match against Panama is the most affordable at face value.
As demand continues to rise globally, fans are advised to act early, understand the application process and plan comprehensively to improve their chances of attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
