Ayew Targets Full Fitness as He Prepares to Make Impact at NAC Breda

Ghana captain André Ayew has set his sights on regaining full fitness as he prepares to play a key role for his new club, NAC Breda, insisting he will be “very useful to the team” once he is fully ready.

The experienced forward, who recently completed a move to the Dutch side, admitted that he is still working his way back to peak physical condition but remains confident he will soon be able to contribute strongly on the pitch.

“I just need to get my full fitness,” Ayew said. “When I’m fully fit, I know I will be very useful to the team.”

Ayew explained that he has already begun working closely with the club’s medical and coaching staff to build up his match sharpness after spending time without regular competitive football. He added that the training environment at NAC Breda has been positive and has helped him settle in quickly.

The 35-year-old brings vast experience to the squad, having played at the highest level in leagues across Europe and represented Ghana at multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and World Cups. He believes his leadership and professionalism can be valuable assets for a young and ambitious NAC Breda side.

Ayew also praised the club’s ambition and the passion of its supporters, saying both factors motivated him to take up the challenge in the Netherlands. He is eager to repay the confidence shown in him by delivering strong performances once he returns to full fitness.

NAC Breda are hopeful Ayew will soon be ready for regular first-team action as they continue their push in domestic competition.
