Ancelotti rules Tchouameni out of Champions League final through injury

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Aurélien Tchouaméni will miss Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League final clash against Borussia Dortmund after sustaining a stress injury to his left foot.
The French midfielder has been a key figure for Los Blancos throughout the campaign, with Real Madrid remaining unbeaten in every match he has started this season. However, the 24-year-old will be forced to watch from the sidelines when Madrid bid for a historic 15th Champions League crown at Wembley.
Speaking to the media ahead of the final, Ancelotti provided an update on Tchouaméni’s condition, confirming that the midfielder is already focused on recovering in time for this summer’s European Championship.
“Aurélien Tchouaméni will miss the Champions League final due to injury. He is working hard to recover for the Euros,” Ancelotti said.
Despite the setback, Real Madrid boast a wealth of options in midfield. The Italian tactician can call upon experienced stars such as Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, alongside the energy and versatility of Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga, as Madrid look to overcome a confident Borussia Dortmund side.
Tchouaméni, meanwhile, will be hoping his teammates can finish the job as he awaits the chance to lift his first Champions League trophy. For Ancelotti, the final presents an opportunity to further cement his legacy by winning a record fifth Champions League title as a manager.
The Real Madrid boss has already guided the club to their 36th La Liga title this season and is eager to cap off a remarkable campaign with European glory.
The highly anticipated Champions League final will take place at Wembley Stadium on June 1, 2024.
