Luis Enrique Pledges to Overturn 3-2 Deficit Against Barcelona in Champions League Second Leg

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique remains optimistic that his team can overturn a 3-2 first-leg deficit against Barcelona and secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The French champions fell short at home last Wednesday, leaving them with a challenging task in the return leg at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night.
PSG, who last reached the semi-finals three years ago, will need to come from behind to defeat the five-time European champions. Speaking ahead of the match, Enrique said, “PSG have never come back to win after losing a first leg, but Tuesday is the day. We have a very united group of players, in which there are no egos.”
Enrique has a rich history with Barcelona, having guided the club to a treble in 2014–15 during one of his three seasons in charge. He also masterminded a historic 6-1 comeback over PSG in 2017, overturning a 4-0 first-leg loss in the round of 16—an experience that could prove valuable in Tuesday’s high-stakes encounter.
Barcelona, aiming to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in five years, are determined to protect their advantage. Manager Xavi stated, “We’re not a team that will sit on our lead, we want to take the ball off PSG and win the game. It’s the Champions League, it’s Paris, and a game in which no one will be holding back.”
The Spanish side will be without Andreas Christensen and Sergio Roberto, both suspended, though Achraf Hakimi could return after missing the first leg.
The highly anticipated clash kicks off at the Nou Camp at 19:00 GMT on Tuesday, promising a thrilling contest between PSG and Barcelona as both sides chase a place in the semi-finals.
