Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars are set to face Algerian giants JS Kabylie in the preliminary round of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League. The Miners will host the first leg in Ghana before travelling to Algeria for the return fixture.
The opening match is scheduled to take place between September 19 and 21, 2025, with the second leg set for September 26 to 28.
The winner of the tie will advance to face either Sierra Leone’s East End Lions or Tunisia’s US Monastir in the second preliminary round.
Gold Stars earned their historic spot in the competition after clinching the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title, marking their first-ever appearance on the continental stage. Their debut represents a major milestone for the club and a chance to test themselves against some of Africa’s established footballing powers.
