Continue to hammer on us if you don’t want us at the World Cup – Otto Addo

The Black Stars will not compete in next year’s AFCON in Morocco, marking a disappointing end to a qualifying campaign.

Following last Friday’s draw against Angola, which confirmed their elimination, Addo emphasised the need for unity and support as the team shifts its focus to the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

“I understand that people are disappointed, maybe angry. I was also disappointed, but surely we have to move on now,” he said.

He further stressed the importance of support from fans: “If you [Ghanaians] don’t want us to go to the World Cup, then you can continue and hammer on us, but if you really want us to go to the World Cup, we need support.”
