Semenyo is good enough to play in the Champions League – Kaveh Solhekol

British journalist Kaveh Solhekol says Antoine Semenyo has the talent and quality to shine in Europe’s elite club competition, the UEFA Champions League.
He, however, believes the Ghana international should complete the current season at Bournemouth before switching clubs.
He made these remarks in an interview with the head of 3Sports, Owuraku Ampofo, in Washington, DC, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw this Friday.
“I think he’s a fantastic player. He’s a player who’s good enough to play in the Champions League, but I hope he stays at Bournemouth until the end of this season because Bournemouth are a really good side,” he noted.
Solhekol added that the Cherries will be weakened if the Black Star player exits the club in January.
“I think it would destabilise them if he was to leave in January,” he added.

Meanwhile, Semenyo remains a target for many clubs in England, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
And despite signing a 5-year contract extension last summer, keeping him at the club until June 2030, these clubs are reportedly still keen on poaching him.
If he eventually makes the switch, he will join a long list of Ghanaian players who have played in the Champions League.
