Harry Kane Warns Bayern Munich’s Season Will Be a Failure Without Champions League Glory

England captain Harry Kane has warned that Bayern Munich’s season will be deemed a failure if the club does not secure the UEFA Champions League, following setbacks in domestic competitions.

After being eliminated from the DFB Pokal and losing the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern’s sole focus now shifts to Europe’s premier club competition as they aim to salvage the campaign. The German giants host Arsenal on Wednesday in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, with the tie finely poised at 2-2.

“We still have an opportunity to turn this season into a great season if we win the Champions League,” Kane said. “Of course, from the club’s point of view it will be a failed season if we don’t win anything this year because we’re expected to win, but all we can do is take that into next year and try and turn that around.”

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker, who joined Bayern seeking silverware, is yet to lift a trophy in his career. Despite this, Kane has enjoyed a strong debut season in Germany, leading the race for the Bundesliga Golden Boot with 32 goals, showcasing the consistency and prolific scoring that has defined his career.

As Bayern look to Europe to redeem their season, Kane’s leadership and goal-scoring prowess will be pivotal if the club hopes to cap off the campaign with continental glory.
