FIFA sets Intercontinental playoff brackets for final two 2026 World Cup Spots

The road to the final two berths at the 2026 World Cup is now officially defined. FIFA has completed the draw for the Intercontinental Playoff, revealing the matchups that will determine the last nations to join the tournament hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

In the first bracket, New Caledonia and Jamaica will meet in a Semifinal showdown. The victor will advance to the Final, where DR Congo awaits after earning a direct pass due to their higher position in the FIFA World Ranking.

The opposite side of the draw features a Semifinal between Bolivia and Suriname. The winner of that clash will go on to face Iraq, the top-ranked team involved in the playoff.

Official Brackets

Bracket 1
• New Caledonia vs. Jamaica
➡️ Winner faces DR Congo

Bracket 2
• Bolivia vs. Suriname
➡️ Winner faces Iraq

FIFA has also locked in the match dates and venues.
Semifinals: Monday, March 23
Finals: Tuesday, March 31

Every game will be played in Mexico across two World Cup stadiums:
• Estadio BBVA in Monterrey
• Estadio Akron in Guadalajara

With the draw completed and the matchups set, the race for the last two World Cup spots officially begins.

The stakes are enormous, the margins razor-thin, and only two nations will emerge with tickets to the 2026 World Cup.
