Champions League Draw Throws Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan into ‘Group of Death’

The Champions League group stage draw has set up an exciting start to Europe’s elite club competition, with Group C immediately standing out as the “Group of Death.” Spanish side Barcelona, bolstered by their star striker Robert Lewandowski, will face a tough test against German champions Bayern Munich, marking a return to the Pole’s old stomping ground. Italian giants Inter Milan complete the trio of heavyweights, alongside Czech side Viktoria Plzen.
Elsewhere, English champions Manchester City will test themselves in Group G against Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund — giving new signing Erling Haaland a homecoming — and FC Copenhagen.
