Since his second stint began, Addo’s numbers have not overly impressed on paper, 15 matches, 5 wins, 5 draws, and 5 defeats. His side has scored 27 goals, conceded 18, and kept just 4 clean sheets, amounting to a 33.3% win rate.
But Addo insists the statistics don’t tell the full story, pointing instead to Ghana’s strong position in Group I, where the Black Stars sit at the top.
“These statistics of my wins and losses are of no use. I’m not afraid of anything, not even getting sacked. We are still on top of Group I, so nothing has changed,” the coach boldly declared.
Addo also emphasized that the team will not take any opponent lightly as the qualifiers continue.
“Game by game, there will be no underrating of any team moving forward,” he stressed.
The Black Stars’ clash with Mali promises to be a stern test, but Addo’s words reflect a coach determined to stay focused on results rather than outside noise. With qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup at stake, all eyes will be on Bamako as Ghana seek another crucial win.
