The ‘Beast from the East’ Omanyala ready to roar in Paris

Kenyan sprint Lord – Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa has pledged to showcase his ability as he readies to face the best in the men’s 100m at the global spectacle in Paris, France.

Though yet to prove himself to some extent on the global stage, the fastest African sprinter of all-time [Omanyala] goes into the Paris Olympics as the second fastest man in the world this year having coasted 9.79 seconds at the Kenyan trials.

To have such an enviable time on your chest ahead of any competition in itself can be the boosting tonic that can propel any sprinter to achieving greatness.

The ninth-fastest man of all-time over the 100m dash [9.77 seconds] has been speaking about his chances ahead of the games, explaining how ready he is for the big showdown in Paris:

“I am honoured to be here among the best sprinters in the world for the 2024 Olympics. The competition is going to be intense, but I am ready to showcase my ability at this global spectacle,” he noted

“Having pitched camp here for days, I can say I have acclimatized to the weather, and I am looking forward to Saturday’s action,” Omanyala added.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallist may be poised for action, but for him to accomplish his dream of winning an Olympic medal in Paris, he would have to find a way to deal with the likes of Kishane Thompson, Noah Lyles, Oblique Sevile, and Kenneth Bednarek.
