2023 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco: Opening Ceremony Honoured as Best Ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco has been honoured with the Best Ceremony award at the prestigious HEAVENT AWARDS 2024 in Cannes, France. Organized by Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the ceremony was selected from a global pool of outstanding events, showcasing Morocco’s creativity and capacity to host world-class spectacles.
Held at Tangier’s Ibn Battuta Stadium, the ceremony captivated audiences worldwide with its rich artistic performances that celebrated Moroccan heritage and its global connections. A central highlight was a tribute to the legendary Moroccan explorer Ibn Battuta, symbolizing the nation’s historical openness to the world. Traditional Moroccan folk troupes also took the stage, presenting displays that reflected the country’s cultural richness and authenticity.
The ceremony further honoured football legend Pelé’s daughter and featured a special appearance by Morocco’s national coach, Walid Regragui, adding to the event’s significance.
The HEAVENT AWARDS, held annually in Cannes, France, recognize excellence in the event industry, drawing the world’s top professionals in event management and production.
