Hearts of Oak held by stubborn Aduana FC in Accra stalemate

Hearts of Oak and Aduana FC played out a tense 0-0 draw in their Ghana Premier League Matchweek 32 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium today.
The two sides battled fiercely throughout the afternoon, but neither team was able to find the breakthrough in a closely contested fixture that saw both defenses stand firm from start to finish. Hearts of Oak enjoyed a slight edge in possession during the first half, controlling 51% of the ball compared to Aduana FC’s 49%.
The Phobians looked the more threatening side before the break, registering six shots with three efforts on target, while Aduana FC managed just one shot and failed to test the goalkeeper. Hearts also won two corner kicks and picked up the game’s only yellow card in the opening half.
Despite Hearts of Oak’s attacking pressure, Aduana FC remained disciplined defensively and successfully frustrated the home side throughout the contest. The visitors stayed compact at the back and limited clear-cut opportunities in the second half as both teams searched for a winning goal.
The result means both clubs settle for a point each as the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season approaches its final stages. Hearts of Oak will feel they created enough chances to claim victory, while Aduana FC will take positives from securing an important away point at one of the league’s toughest venues.
It’s another missed chance by Mas-ud Didi Dramani‘s side to close the gap on league leaders Medeama SC.
The Phobians still sit third with 51 points while the Ogya Boys are just behind them with 47 points.
